Cruise Frequently Asked Questions
When is the Cruise?
We will set sail in the Spring of 2011 out of Mobile, Alabama. This four day cruise will be plenty of time for you to relax and enjoy a much needed vacation and also provide you with classes to meet your NTS CEU requirements. The actual date of the cruise will be included in your booking information when you have secured your cruise ticket via early buy-in or at the end of the contest.
What are the Carnival Cruise Ship details?
We will set sail on the beautiful Carnival Elation! See all the details on the
Carnival Elation here. You can also review all the Carnival Elation
FAQ's here.
Who can go on the Cruise?
Award points can be used for cruise tickets for yourself, your significant other and your employees. There will also be the option to buy-in or trade-up for additional cabins, cabin up-grades, and onboard amenities.
How does the early Buy-in work?
An Early Buy-in will secure your cruise ticket and insure that you have a place on the cruise. We have only secured a set number of cabins and when they are gone, the Cruise will be considered full. For $50.00 per cruise ticket (double occupancy is required), which will be invoiced to you, we will place your name and that of your guest on a cabin. You will be given your booking number so that you can begin to complete your Fun Pass and plan your Cruise. If at the end of the contest you have enough points to cover your Cruise tickets we will completely refund your early buy-in fee. If you should need additional points to cover your Cruise tickets the $50.00 will go towards purchasing those tickets. Early Buy-in begins June 1st and will end on December 1, 2010. Cancellations made after December 29th will forfeit their early buy-in fee.
How many points do I need for each Cruise ticket?
One Cruise ticket is 40,000 points. The cabins require double occupancy and therefore you will need 80,000 points to secure a cabin. Those participants who only have one cruise ticket and do not wish to buy-in for an additional ticket should contact us and we will do our best to find you a cabin-mate on the cruise so that you can join us for the one of a kind dealer conference.
How much is the Buy-in for additional Tickets?
Each additional Cruise ticket will have a dollar value of $400. You can purchase additional points at a cost of 100 points per $1.00. So if at the end of the contest you only have 25,000 points to go toward a cruise ticket, you will be able to buy the additional 15,000 points for $150. You can also purchase additional tickets for $400 each. All cabins require double occupancy.
Can I save my points to use at a later time?
Points are non-transferrable. Points cannot be used for anything other than to obtain cruise tickets or amenities on the Spring 2011 cruise. Each cruise pass is valued at 40,000 points ($400) and includes all port taxes.
Can you have more than two people per cabin?
Yes, we have reserved a limited number of quad cabins. These cabins will sleep up to 4 people in a Òbunk bedÓ fashion. You can go to carnival.com to view these cabins. Because these cabins are limited you will need to contact Peggy at 800-932-3304 to first verify there is a cabin available. You will then complete the early buy in for the first two passengers and send a fax with the information on the additional passengers. The Third and Fourth ticket for a cabin will be at the cost of 12,500 points and must be part of the early buy-in as we cannot guarantee their availability at the end of the contest. The early buy in for the third and fourth passenger will be $25 per ticket and will be treated the same as all other buy-in fees.
